The yellow tarps come with plastic grommets installed about every 36 inches along each side for your convenience. They are laminated on both sides. The hems are reinforced with poly twine. Please note that the finished measured size is roughly 3% to 5% smaller.

Yellow tarp finished size is approx. 6" or up to 3% smaller

Thickness is measured in mil. One mil is equal to one thousandth of one inch. To get the thickness in inch, just divide the given measurement in mil by 1000. Sample computation: 14 mil/1000 = 0.014.

For textile measurement, denier (or den) is used. It is the mass in grams/9000 m. This unit is the one used in measuring the linear mass density of fibers.
