Working principle of belt filter press:

Belt type filter press is consisting of three steps to filter and dehydration:
Gravity dehydration
Sludge from wastewater treatment plant will be pumped into sludge mixing tank and mixed with

polymer agglutinant, by the polymer agglutinant the tiny suspended particles in the sludge will be

transferred to some larger particles and then overflow into the press dewatering unit from the top of

mixing tank.
Pressure dehydration
Sludge enters into pressure dehydration unit from gravity dehydration unit; the upper and lower filter

belt will squeeze and dewater the sludge.
Adding pressure dehydration
Sludge moves along with the filter belt into the adding pressure sludge dewatering unit, the sludge will

go through six rollers which is perpendicular, the roller diameter from big to small in sequence and the

pressure increases gradually from small to large, along with the continuously change of the up and low

position of filter belt between different rollers, this will shear the sludge, and then the capillary water in

the sludge will be squeezed out and will come out the dry sludge cake.
