is a 70 gsm specially matured Kraft paper, one side activated with 10-12 gsm of VCI chemicals (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitors ), laminated & reinforced with waterproof woven fabric. It is suitable for packing of heavy metals, small components, big machines from corrosion & tarnishing.

   2.   Superior VCI chemical protection developed with focused research.  CORE ELEMENTS:

 VCI Paper provides an extremely dry method of protection. It protects bare metals both through direct contact and vapor action. The high-tech VCI chemicals have a property of evaporating into the surrounding enclosure. The released vapor deposits on the metal surface and forms a protective mono-ionic layer, which provides protection to the packed parts from corrosion. It thus enables effective and long-term protection of ferrous metals against corrosion under adverse conditions including contaminants in air such as hydrogen sulphide, sulphur dioxide, ammonia or acid rain. VCI vapors easily migrate to hard to reach areas like drilled holes, crevices etc. and give effective protection.

FEATURES

CORROSION is a destructive chemical process; most often it is the conversion of a metal to its oxide, for example, the corrosion of iron by oxygen and water to produce iron oxides (i.e., rust).

VCI paper carries a high load of specially engineered rust preventing chemicals (VCI's). These chemicals dissociate into Anions and Cations with moisture as an electrolyte. These Anions and Cations associate with anodic and cathodic reactive areas respectively on the metal surface forming mono-ionic protective layer, making it inert for any further reaction such as oxidation/rusting. Any loss of ions is replenished through further condensation of vapour ensuring continuous protection. It protects metals strongly through direct contact as well as vapor action.

SPECTRUM OF APPLICATIONS:

VCI ANTICORROSION PAPER  is predominantly used for protection of :

1 Over-wrapping of Cold rolled (CR) coils/sheets/wires.

2 Over-wrapping of Galvanized Steel coils/sheets.

3 2D & 3D Bags made of STEELWRAP are widely used to pack Automobile components.

4 3D bags are used to pack bigger machines for protecting it from corrosion while shipping through saline conditions.

METHOD OF USAGE:

Simply wrap the clean, dry metal parts in the paper. Also refer our note guidelines for packaging department.

PACKAGING AND STORAGE CONDITION

Store in a cool and dry place.

Wrapping of rolls in original packing during storage is recommended.

Stable at normal storage conditions.

VCI paper should be kept away from contaminants prior to usage.

Shelf life is minimum 2 years under normal conditions of storage.

AVAILABILITY:

Available in rolls of standard size of 1mtr X 100 mtr./ 2mtr x 500mtr & 3 mtr x 500mtr 2D / 3D bags to pack small components & big machines as well. Custom size and constructions will be made upon request. Custom printing offered.
