Cold work die steel SKD11 also called D2,DIN1.2379,BD2, which is a high carbon, high chromium, molybdenum, vanadium, air hardening tool steel which offershigh surface hardness, good wear resistance, through hardening properties, dimensional stability and high resistance to tempering effect

Carbon:1.40/1.60; Silicon:0.10/0.60; Manganese:0.20/0.60; Phosphorus,Sulphur:0.030max;
Chromium:11.00/13.00; Molybdenum:0.70/1.20; Vanadium:0.50/1.10
Hardness of Steel SKD11: Anneal at 850°C and slow furnace cool. Hardness after annealing will be approx. 225
