Absorption and particulary wavelength selectice absorption is an important factor in the function of the filters.The two most commonly used absorbers are thin metallie films which are particulary insensitive to wavelength for absorption ,and colored glassess which absors wavelengths varied by as much as several orders of magnitudes in only tens of nanometers .Interfer-ence filters are multiayer dielectrie thin film devices .Metallie films ,colored glasses and thin dielectrie films are used in SYCCO’S filters
