Wireless zigbee parking space sensor with outdoor parking occupancy detection sensor

  ROSIM's parking system include wireless parking space detector and wireless parking data collector;this system monitors the occupancy of vehicles in indoor/outdoor parking lot, each parking space is installed a wireless parking space detector  which feeds back occupancy information to parking data collector. Therefore,the real-time parking occupany information can be stored in a data collector for statistical analysis and then it will be uploaded to an online server of external access  for car park owner to improve the efficiency of the car park so that parking utilization and enforcement efficiency are optimized.

Wireless Parking Space Vehicle Detector sensors, which are installed in each individual parking space, measure occupancy of these parking spaces. Due to the wireless sensor network formed among these parking detection sensors and one data collector in a certain parking lot, the parking space occupancy information is transmitted to system provider's parking management platform timely. This parking information can be used to provide application service to people for parking guidance, and also can be used for parking management .

Wireless parking space detection system working principle and structure

By the magnetic and optic sensing technology, the Wireless Parking Space Vehicle Sensor can measure occupancy of every parking spaces.The parking space occupancy information is transmitted to  Wireles Parking Data Collector(WPDC), and then the WPDC transmits all the data to system provider's parking management platform timely by RS232/485, USB, Ethernet.

The customer reviewed three possible technical options of vehicle detection to solve its issue:

1.Inductive loop: Installation is costly and requires long parking shutdown. On top of that, regular recalibration is needed to keep an acceptable occupancy reliability indication. For the client, a completely unsupervised system was a key requirement, so that loop counting was dismissed.

2.Ultrasonic detection: Installation is even longer and needed infrastructure (cables on ceiling and IT infrastructure) was not adapted to a commercially interesting retrofit.

3.Wireless detection: In order to limit costs and neutralization time of parking spaces, the customer chose to deploy wireless sensors on its indoors parking spaces. This kind of sensor is perfect for the outdoor parking lot and on-street parking lot. Each parking space sensor was installed in less than 5mimutes.
