The AMXP-4958VH-D15L60 Flat Panel Antenna conbines ver tical antenna horizontal polaritzation with high gain over multiple frequencies in a single enclosure.
It is a professional quality antenna designed primarily for MIMO point-to-multipoint and point-to-point applications in the 4.9 GHz and 5.8 GHz frequency bands.
This antenna incorporates advanced dual polarization technology that allows for the interoperability of two radios to transmit and receive paths.
This technology allows for the attenuation of unwanted signals from adjacent channels and/or co-located equipment.
Dual Polarized Design(Vertical and Horizontal polarization)
This antenna features an unique array of cross di-pole elements.
The antenna is fed via two N-Female ports, one for vertically polarized and one for horizontally polarized signals.
These feature makes these antennas ideal for polarization diversity systems.
MIMO Antenna Overview
Multiple–Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) antennas have two or more antennas in a single physical package and are designed for use in IEEE 802.11n wireless networks.
By utilizing multiple antennas, data throughput and range are increased compared to a single antenna using the same radio transmit power.
Additionally MIMO antennas improve link reliability and experience less fading than a single antenna system. By transmitting multiple data streams at the same time, wireless capacity is increased.
MIMO technology uses Multipath (when wireless signals “bounce” off of objects and arrive at the receiver at different times) to improve wireless performance.
MIMO technology takes a single data stream and breaks it down into several separate data streams and sends it out over multiple antennas.
This provides redundancy.
