Bow and tunnel thrusters are primarily used for docking, slow speed maneuvering, emergency steering and station keeping at zero or slow forward speed. They are installed transversely in the bow or the stern of a vessel.

· There are 2 types of tunnel thruster: Fixed pitch tunnel thruster and controllable pitch tunnel thruster
