Pipe base screen to control sand pipe is an all-welded screen that eliminates the need to under-ream and gravel pack a well. It consists of a perforated base pipe with two concentric profile wire wrapped screens that create an annulus which can be filled with whatever media the client chooses. This media is determined by the size and type of gravel pack used and directly related to the formation sands that are to be controlled. The dual screen provides built in sand control when gravel packing is not feasible.
