HM-315 potting adhesive

Brief introduction

HM-315 is two parts condensation silicone sealant, we can add the third part and make it mat. It’s cure at room temperature, release ethanol element while curing, no corrosion to PC,PP,ABS,PVC,copper,etc.With excellent adhesion to many electronical material(except PP,PE).

Properties

1.Low viscosity, good leveling, suitable to used as potting adhesive for complex electronical fitting.

2. After cure, it becomes soft silicone rubber, can resist strong impact.

3.Can resist high temperature and extreme weather condition, extend lifespan of electronical fittings.

4. Condensed type,no corrosion to electronical fittings while cure.

5. Do not require coat, has excellent adhesion to PC and Epoxy.

6. Anti-humidity, water-proof.Use this product as potting adhesive for LED screen, can reach water-proof IP68 level.

 Application

Before applying, mixed A and B at ratio 10:1 (Volume or weight ratio)after two components are complete mixed, use vacuum pump to release the bubble, be careful the whole volume of adhesive should not more than one third of the container, in case overflow. We can also let the adhesive stay still for about 20-30 minutes to naturally release the bubble at 25C.

Potting and cure

Pour the mixed adhesive into the potting site as soon as possible in case of any air sneak into the adhesive. At room temperature, the adhesive could be cure into elastomer,low temperature could extend the cure time, by adjusting the mixed ratio can change the cure time.

Attention

1.This adhesive condense to cure with ratio 10:1 for part A and part B completely mixed. If require shorter or longer cure time which can be reach via adjusting ratio of both components.Normally,we don’t suggest heating, which can result in generating small bubble or pinhole, which have bad effect on appearance and sealing.

2.We suggest that potting thickness should not more than 50mm,normally thickness of 20mm,can release the bubble by staying still for a while. If require thick potting area, should at least put this mixed adhesive into vacuum container and at 700mmHg for at least 5 minutes.

3. Completely mix two components

4.If require mat effect,pls add the C component, and only after 24-48h of potting, the mat effect comes out.Relatively,higher temperature can accelerate the mat effect, but keep in mind, should be lower than 50C.

5. Color depends on customer’s requirement.

Test

We suggest that customers should test this product before application and see if it could meet the demand.

Shelf life

Store under 30C and stay sealed

Shelf life of component A and B is 12 months after the date of manufacture.

Pump to release the bubble, be careful ,the total amount should be less than 1/3 of the container, in case of any overflow. Also can release the bubble naturally by standing the sealant still for about 20~30 mins under 25C

2. Try to pour the sealant to the potting position as soon as possible avoid any air invade. Under room temperature, with 24H,this sealant can be cured and become elastomer,low temperature and mixed ratio will have great effect to curing time. 

Remark                                                                                      

1. Completely cured sealant is non-toxic, but do not directly contact with eyes or kids. Should keep ventilate when applying. We suggest that before applying, customer had better have a test to make sure our sealant can highly meet your demand.

2. Normally,the mixed ratio between A and B is 10:1,but we can adjust the mixed ratio to change the curing time. We don’t suggest using heating to accelerate the curing process,in case of  there will be some hole or bubble on surface, which have some bad effect on sealability.

3. Thickness of potting, better less than 50mm.Normally, thickness less than 20mm,the sealant can be release the bubble naturally. But if the potting position is very thick, better use vacuum pump, under 700mmHg,at least 5 mins to get rid of the bubble.

4. Before mixed, completely mixing each component separately.

5.If want matting ,could add the C(matting agent),normally the matting will appear 24~48h of potting. Under higher temperature, the matting will appear earlier, but do not make it over  50C
