Mesh track

Mesh Track is planar grid material used for the structural reinforcement of asphalt pavements. Placed within the upper bound layers of the pavement Mesh track  reinforce the asphalt layers, extending fatigue life, minimising disruption through pot-holes and resurfacing works. Mesh track  provides lateral restraint to the asphalt, which improves resistance to rutting and shoving. The mesh track absorbs and ultimately reduces the peak tensile stresses caused by the presence of reflected cracks and/or traffic.
Mesh track is engineered from our double twisted hexagonal woven steel wire mesh, with integral transverse reinforcement bars woven into the mesh. Mesh track is unrolled into position and secured appropriately before the upper asphalt layers are placed.
Mesh track is made from high quality steel wire, which is heavily galfan galvanised to provide long term corrosion protection.
Mesh track has a three-dimensional structure, enabling the bound layer material to envelope each continuous wire strand, ensuring interlock occurs and therefore optimum and immediate load transfer from the aggregate to the reinforcement.

Mesh Track

Reconstruction of the surface layer (for example, when cracks apear) - the mesh stops further spreading of the cracks toward surface and prolongs exploitation period of the new layer by taking on itself horisontal tensile deformations.
In the case of connecting old and new road layer when expanding the road, the mesh neutralizes strains caused by different stages of settling;
If the smooth surface of the asphalt is damaged (for example, tir tracs occured) structure of Road mesh prooves its great compatibility with asphalt.
