Applicable range 

STQ1 series automatic transfer switch (hereinafter referred to as ATS) is suitable for the dual-power system of AC50Hz, rated working voltage 380V and rated working current 63A-225A, to finish the transfer between the normal power and reserve power by manual or automatic operation. ATS is mainly applied in the important fields where the power failure is unallowable including the hospital, shop, bank, chemical engineering, metallurgy, high-rise building, military facilities and so on .

Normal working conditions 

1.The altitude of installation site shall not exceed 2,000m. 

2.Ambient temperature is in the range of -5℃~+40℃, the average value is +35℃ within 24h. 

3.The air relative humidity shall not exceed 50% at ambient temperature +40℃, the higher humidity is allowable at the lower temperature ; the product surface condensation resulted from the change of humidity shall be taken into the consideration. 

4.The installation site shall be free of explosive danger, gas or dust eroding and impairing the insulation. 

5.The installation site shall be free of the obvious shock or impact. 

Basic structure 

STQ1 automatic transfer switch is made up of power executive circuit breaker' it has three working state positions for your selection: normal power (N) ON, double breaking, reserve power(R) ON, with the obvious features such as the small volume, light weight, stable operation and convenient use, etc.  

Installation & use 

In connecting, the normal power N shall be connected to the normal-power executive circuit breaker QN, and the reserve power R shall be connected to the reserve-power executive circuit breaker QR. When QN and QR are four-pole, the connection mode is shown as the connection diagram, as shown in the diagram, the numbers 1, 3 and 5 represent the three-phase incoming terminal (A, B and C), and the numbers 2, 4 and 6 represent the three-phase outgoing terminal, the number 7 represents the zero-line incoming terminal, and the number 8 represents the zero-line outgoing terminal. If the circuit breaker is three-pole, the null line NN of normal power (N) and the null line NR of reserve power (R) must be connected to the connection zero terminal special for three poles. The detailed operation is shown as the connection diagram. The working power of ATS controller gets from the phase-A incoming terminal and null line N of circuit breakers QN and QR, if the circuit breaker is three-pole, the null lines of two circuits, i.e. the null lines NN and NR must be connected. This connection zero terminal special for three poles is located in the middle of two circuit breakers, in installing and connecting ATS, the removal, breaking or short circuit of ATS incoming terminal control line is unallowable.

Operation 

No matter whether the normal and reserve power have the voltage or not, the manual operation mode can be used. In manual operation, the manual-auto button is set to the manual position, and when the handle is rotated CW to the terminal, the reserve power executive circuit breaker QR actuates the opening operation, and the normal power executive circuit breaker QN actuates the closing operation; when the handle is rotated CCW to the terminal, the reserve power executive circuit breaker QR actuates the closing operation, and the normal power executive circuit breaker QN actuates the opening operation.

In the panel, the power indicator lamp (red) indicates the working power of automatic control box, if the lamp can't brighten, this means the working power of automatic control box has the trouble, the switch can't be operated. After recovering to the normal,the manual-auto button is set to the automatic position state, if the normal power is natural, ATS automatically inputs into the closing state of normal power executive circuit breaker QN, and the panel N power indicator lamp (yellow) brightens; if the normal power is abnormal, ATS automatically inputs into the reserve power QR for supplying the power, the reserve power indicator lamp (green) goes on.

Attentions 

1.Never operate the plug in the charged state, otherwise, the electricity shock or product damage would happen.

2.The layman is unallowable to operate or amend ATS, otherwise, the electricity shock or product damage would happen.

3.It is forbidden to change the product, otherwise, it would be damaged.

4.The load capacity shall not exceed the rated capacity of switch, otherwise, the switch would trip or be damaged.

5.Never connect the null line (N) to the phase wire by mistake, the input of two circuit breakers must be the same, if the three-pole circuit breaker is used, the null lines of normal power (N) and reserve power (R) shall be connected to the first pin (N) of terminal block (KG) at the same time, otherwise, the switch would be damaged, the earthing wire shall be connected reliably to ensure the safety of use.

6.It can't be installed outdoors, otherwise, its service life would be reduced or some adverse reflects would bu produced.

7.It can't be directly installed in explosive, flammable, damp, high-temperature place with direct sunshine, vibration or shock, otherwise, its service life would be reduced or it would be burned or exploded.

8.It can't be directly installed in the place with conductive dust or metallic wire entrance, otherwise, it would be damaged or have the mechanical fault.

9.The installation shall meet the requirements specified in catalog, otherwise, its service life would be reduced.

STQ1 series automatic transfer switch (hereinafter referred to as ATS) is made up of two GTMI series circuit breakers with high breaking capacity and Sahmataer ATS controller, suitable for CAT-A loads and some CAT-B loads in important fields where the power failure is unallowable such as the apply to rated voltage 400V 50Hz rated current 800A high-rise building, hospital, shopping mall, bank, fire control, chemical engineering, metallurgy, military facilities, used to finish automatic transfer of power at the dual-circuit power system, and to guarantee the reliability of user's power supply.

The product is in accordance with the GB/T14048.11.11-2002 and IEC60947-6-1 (1998) Automatic Transfer Switching Equipment and so on.

Note: The integrated type refers to that the controller and the body are assembled in the             same bottom plate.

The separated type refers to that the controller is separated from the body, and they are connected with the connector and cable.

Normal working conditions 

Ambient temperature:

Upper limited value is not higher than +40℃;

Lower limited value is not lower than -5℃;

The average value shall not exceed +35℃ within 24h;

Installation site:

The altitude of installation site shall not exceed 2,000m.

Air conditions: Air relative humidity shall not exceed 50% at the max temperature +40℃; the higher relative humidity is allowable at the lower temperature, the monthly average min temperature shall be +25℃ in the dampest month, meanwhile, in this dampest month, the monthly average max relative humidity shall be 90%, in addition, the product surface condensation resulted from the change of temperature shall be taken into the consideration.

Applicable environment   

ATS shall be installed in the dry environment free of the conductive dust, corrosive, explosive or flammable gas, it shall avoid the rain and water entrance and can't be impacted or vibrated, its vertical inclination of installation shall not exceed 5 degrees, the external magnetic of ATS installation site shall not be 5 times as high as the earth magnetic field in all directions.

Performance features  

STQ1 series automatic transfer switch has the perfect test and protection functions. It employs the high-speed embedded chip microcomputer as the main control chip, to monitor the power supply at the real time and ensure the reliable operation of power supply system.

1.Mechanical interlock and electric interlock dual-protection function, which can prevent two circuit breakers closing at the same time;

2.Six control and operation methods including "manual control", "self-input self-reset", "normal power supply", "reserve power supply", "re-trip under power failure" and "self-input non-self-reset";

3.Protections against under voltage, over voltage and phase lack, which can prevent the fault power being transmitted to the load;

4.Alarm or indication of power supply failure and circuit breaker tripping.

5.Prevention of two re-closing operations, that is, the automatic closing operation can't be performed again after the circuit breaker performs the automatic closing (tripping) operation and following troubles happen: load side short circuit, overload, etc..

6.The operation parameters (under voltage value, over voltage value, opening delay value, closing delay value) may be set and adjustable, LCD displays the two-circuit phase voltage at the same time; the full Chinese menu operation takes the convenience for user's real-time search.

7.It has the fire-control interface, in case of emergency, only the fire-control power supply of DC24V (the control voltage is selected by customer) is connected, the controller can output the control contact to cut off the relevant power supplies at once.

8.It has the RS485 and RS232C serial communication interfaces and employs the MODEBUS communication protocol.
