Automotive sensors must accurately and reliably measure, monitor and control critical system data in order to maintain fuel economy and safety. But heat and humidity can create pressure differentials that create over-pressurization, or vacuum conditions, inside the sensor. Either of these can cause faulty readings — or outright sensor failure, which can cascade to component or system failure.

Microvent^® Automotive Vents can extend the precision and the service life of radar systems, oxygen sensors, humidity sensors and position sensors and actuators etc.

Our vents are engineered to manage challenging environmental conditions effectively, so sensors can operate more accurately and reliably. The unique construction of our expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) vents rapidly equalizes sudden or extreme pressure differentials, to ensure:
