The USB 2.0 Extreme extenders represent a significant milestone in the USB market supporting USB 2.0 peripheral devices at speeds up to 480 Mb/s over a distance of 100m/330 ft, doubling the extension distance of 50m/165ft of the previous generation. Powered by Extreme USB technology, the USB 2.0 supports a single device port. These USB extenders require AC power (included) at the Remote Extender (REX) end. Additionally an optional the Local Extender (LEX) power supply is available for USB ports that cannot provide the required 500mA current.
This USB extender allows you to conquer the 5 Meter USB length limitation. Using inexpensive network cables, this extender provides the simplest and most economic way to extend the distance of a USB device up to 300ft. Now you can place your USB cameras, printers, web cams, storages, keyboard/mouse extensions or other USB device exactly where you want it.
Features:
• Extends USB 2.0 high-speed and USB 1.1 (low-speed, full speed) devices up to 100m over Cat 5 cable by 480Mbps
• Supports most of the USB device types: Control, Interrupt, Bulk and Isochronous at up to 480Mbps.
• Supports connecting up to 4 Usb devices over a Usb2.0 4 Port Hub.
*Uses standard Cat5/Cat5E/Cat6 patch cord (not included).
• AC power (included) is required at the remote REX end
• Optional LEX power supply is available for USB ports that do not supply 500mA current
• Ideal for a wide variety of USB devices, from printers, web cams, and hard drives, to cell phones, iPods, digital cameras and game controllers.
