Chapter One Abstract

HCFP-060 Fingerprint acquisition instrument is made by Shenzhen HCC Technology Co., Ltd .With high speed DSP processor as the core, combined with optical fingerprint sensor which the company owns the independent intellectual

property rights, it has great Intellectual functions,like fingerprints input, image processing, fingerprints matching, searching and storing templates and so on.Fingerprint lock and locker suite series.

1.1 Introduction

The operating procedure of HCFP-060 Fingerprint acquisition instrument is as follows.

1.2 Specification

Comment: :The actual size of fingerprint feature and Fingerprint templateare 512 bytes. only 256 bytes of data in the fingerprint characteristic is the valid fingerprint template is from the merger of two fingerprint characteristic, so 512 bytes

of data are all valid data.

Chapter Two System Resources

    To meet the different needs of customers, module system provides a number of resources available to the user's system

2.1 Buffer Area

The following RAM module resources:

One Image Buffer[256*288]

Two characteristics file buffer: CharBuffer1[512]  and CharBuffer2[512].

User can read and write any buffer area through instruction .The contents of image buffer and feature file buffer can’t save without power.

2.1.1 ImageBuffer

ImageBuffer is used to store image data and process the internal image .

In order to speed up, it transmits image through the UART , and only use high four pixels bytes. Each byte represents two pixels, namely 16th gray transmitted eight pixels through the USB , that is to say ,256 gray levels.

2.1.2 Characteristics Buffer

    CharBuffer1 or CharBuffer2 stores features file or template file, and each of they has 512 bytes.

only feature file has 256 valid bytes, and template files are composited by two characteristic files, so it is combined by two characteristics files, as a result , it has 512 valid bytes.

2.2 Fngerprinting Database

    Module has a storage area for fingerprint bata in FLASH. Fingerprint database are protected even without power. The fingerprint modules are stored in the serial number, if the Fingerprint batabase Capacity is N, then fingerprint module is defined as:0, 1, 2,----N-2, N-1 in the fingerprint batabase. Users can only access the fingerprint library content according to the serial number.

2.3 System Setup Parameter

     In order to convenient the user, it opens part of the system parameters, and the user can change some specified parameter value through instruction. Refer to Set Sys Para and Read SysPara.

    When the PC send instructions for modifing system parameters, module is first carried out in accordance with the original configuration response.After replying it can modify system settings, at the same time ,it is recorded by the FLASH. When the system restarts it will work in accordance with the new configuration.

2.3.1 Baud RateControl (parameter number: 4)

   The parameter control module and PC through the UART communication baud rate of communication, if the parameter value is N (N values range 1 ~ 12), the corresponding baud rate to 9600 *(N) BPS.

2.3.2 Security Levels (parameter number: 5)

    This parameter controls fingerprints matching and time searching. It is divided into 5 levels, and the scope is: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. When the security level is 1,the recognize false rate is highest, and the False Rejection Rate is  lowest .

When the security level is 5 ,the recognize false rate is lowesr, and the False Rejection Rate is highest.

2.3.3 Packet Length (parameter number: 6)

   When the parameter control module and PC communicated, the maximum length of the content are allowed is 0,1,2,3, and corresponding to the length(in bytes) are 32 ,64, 128, 64.
