Specifications:

This HDMI Audio Extractor has one HDMI input, one HDMI output, one optical SPDIF output and RCA L / R stereo audio output. It features three audio EDID settings for the best flexibility. 
HDMI 2CH PCM stereo audio can be converted to 2CH analog stereo and output through RCA L/R and SPDIF at the same time. 
Set EDID to "5.1CH" for Dolby Digital / DTS 5.1CH for SPDIF out; The RCA L/R output will not have sound if incoming audio is multi-channel audio (>2CH). SPDIF does NOT support 5.1 or 7.1 Dolby Digital Plus. For Chromecast & Roku, if they send 5.1 Dolby Digital Plus in HDMI signal, the audio will not be extracted and SPDIF will not have signal. 
The HDMI output has identical video and audio signals as the HDMI input. HDMI supports all audio formats including Dolby Digital Plus, 5.1CH/7.1CH PCM and HD Audio (including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio). For 5.1CH PCM or above, set EDID to "pass", and connect output to AV receiver directly. Does not support ARC.
