1        Use and maintenance

1.1  The type MF18 gas mask is available in universal size.

1.2  The whole mask, particularly the lenses and the exhalation valve, should be kept clean. If necessary, the face piece may be washed with clean water.

1.3  The canister can lower its efficiency after it has absorbed moisture. Therefore, the ingress of moisture into the canister is not allowed. The closure cap and the rubber plug should usually be attached to the canister.

1.4  The gas mask should be stored in cool dry place. If the mask is not use for longer time, support should be placed in the face blank to prevent the deformation. Do not put the mask in touch with organic solvent.

2 USE METHOD OF TYPE MF18 GAS MASK

2.1 Wearing

   Wear the selected gas mask on abovementioned and connect a canister directly to the canister holder. Secure straps, taking account of both air tightness and comfort, and keeping the opening of inner mask unblocked. If the gas mask needs prolonged wearing, especially in hot weather, and when there is sweat water accumulated the chin position, it must be removed through exhalation valve by deeply bending and vigorously breathing out.

2.2Undoing

Hold the voice meter and raise it up-and-forwards with your right hand, so undo the gas mask.
