High Silicon Cast Iron (HSCI) Anode is the buried component of impressed current systems for cathodic protection of land and marine structures from corrosion.   

Haili started the exploration and trial-production of High Silicon Cast Iron (HSCI) anodes in 1999. The anodes conform to ASTM A 518M – 99 (2008) Standard. There are mainly three kinds of anodes: HSCI solid anodes, HSCI tubular anodes and HSCI board anodes. Most of the products are exported to America, Canada, Middle East, Australia, etc., with annual export volume of more than 1000 tons. The principle of impressed current cathodic protection is in connecting an external anode to the material to be protected from corrosion and passing of an external ( impressed ) electrical DC current.

The high silicon content ensures that the alloy forms a protective film containing silicon dioxide, SiO2. The film has high resistivity and chemistry stability, which is in passive state under acid conditions, so it can reduce the dissolving rate for anode. Moreover, after covered by Chromium, the protection film of SiO2 of HSCI is develped to resist corrosion from alkali and chloride ion, so that anode can be applied for strong choloride conditions. Therefore, HSCI Anode with Chromium adapts to all kinds of land and water environments.
