Product Description
The ET1151M spectrophotometer is a microprocessor-controlled, LED-sourced filter photometer suitable for colorimetric testing in the laboratory or the field. The instrument is precalibrated for COD, TP, TN and NH3 measurements and includes convenient calibration capability for user-entered methods.

Source Lamp: Light Emitting Diode (LED)
TN Measurement Principle:
Alikaline persulfate digestion converts all forms of nitrogen and nitrate. Nitrate then reacts withchromotropic acid under strongly acidic conditions to form a yellow complex with an absorbance maximum at 420nm.
TP Measurement Principle:
Phosphates are converted to orthophosphates by heating with acid and persulfate. Orthosphosphate reacts with molybdate in an acid medium to produce a mixed phosphate /molybdate complex. Assorbic acid then reduce the complex, giving the intense molybdenum blue color. Test results are measured at 610nm.
