Switch & Disconnect Sticks

Switch Sticks ,also named disconnect sticks, used for opening and closing disconnect switches and cutouts and also used for installing and removing open-link fuse links.

Switch stick are made of foam filled epoxy fiberglass tube and cast bronze in 3 types : switch head ,disconnect head or spliced disconnect head. It is also can be made by customer ordered head.

For convenience in transporting or where the greater length is required ,Spliced disconnect sticks are available. The splice is strong and rigid ,easy to put together and easy to take apart. The taking –down feature of these sticks makes them especially handy to carry on line trucks or in tool trailers.

Standard: We manufacture our fiberglass hot stick strict according to IEC 60855 and ASTM F711 standard.

Material :All the fiberglass we used are electrical grade finished type which have good electrical ,mechanical

strength and Light weight.The resin we used are best properties of electrical ,UV resistant and moisture

resistant .

Manufacture Technology:

 1.We use the fiberglass knitting producing technology into our fiberglass tube pultrusion process,so that we

get the tube with better bending strength and torsion strength.

2.We fill the foam to tube during the pultrusion process which we get the better bond between the foam core

and fiberglass tube.

Testing:We do the incoming test when the material arrival in our company, Sample test for the first article and

during the producing process and the final test when hot sticks are finished assemble .Any of the products

must be passed the 100kV 1feet test.

Quality Control: ISO 9001 and 6S qualified

Experience:We works closely with our utility and discussed with lineman regularly and get feedback inform

from them to improve the tools. Our tool have already been exported to more than 15 countries.

Safety:  Protecting the lineman during the works on live line is a very serious works ,so that we take the quality

as the life our our company . So that we manage all the quality control very strictly and any of the hot stick

must be done 100kV per feet test before leaving our company.

Note: for 9,10,11 minimum clear hot stick distance maybe reduced provided that such distances are not less

than the shortest distance between the energized part and the grounded surface.
