high quality waterproof horizontal bamboo flooring

China is one of the key natural homes and is the largest source of Bamboo in the world. It currently accounts for more than 500 bamboo species covering over 7 million hectares under growth. 

         1. Cutting the mature bamboo which is 4~5 years, ready to be the material

         2. Bamboo is cross cut to the required length. The outside bamboo knots are ground off.  

         3.Bamboo is put through a splitting and sizing machine. The inside bamboo knots are ground off and outer skin is removed to make slats of uniform size and with perfect angle.        

         4. The bamboo slats are (1) boiled in the H2O2 for four hours which makes the colour lighter; or (2) heated thorougly in a high pressure kiln under which makes the colour darker. The purpose of these two treating methods is to extract the inherent starch that attracts termites and other insects. The treatments ensure that bamboo flooring will come to the users pest free and remain in such a condition throughout the lifetime.      

         5. The slats are dried till the moisture in the bamboo reaches to 8%~10%. 

         6. Each bamboo slat is carefully checked and sorted by colour.     

         7. The bamboo slats are glued together. They are then put into a hydraulic pressing machine, which set by a combination of heat and pressure, to make the slats to be the bamboo planks.

         8. The assembled bamboo planks are planed and sanded on both faces.     

         9. Locking systems are then milled. Tongue & groove or our patent buckle locking system will be added.

         PROCESSING TYPES

         One style differentiator is the look of the floor and how the individual bamboo slats are constructed. The two most commonly available looks are referred to as horizontal and vertical.

         Horizontal:                         

         Laying three-ply of bamboo strips in the staggered construction with surface upwards, create a wide grain look.    

         Vertical:           

         Laying bamboo strips with flank upwards and surface laminated together.          

         CARBONIZED:                            

         A heating processing method and steam is applied, which result in colour darken to be a kind of caramel colour besides the effect of anti-pest and rot-resistance.   

         NATUAL:                    

         A boiling processing method with H2O2 is applied, which maintain the original light colour of bamboo slats and get the effect of anti-pest and rot-resistance.bamboo flooring

Finish: Coated with 6 layers of German Treffert lacquer for UV protection

Structure: Tongue and groove with a micro bevel edge.

Installation: float, nail or glue down

Option: matt / glossy / half-finished
