• The HAL is a newer Array Laterolog Tool , provides six independent, software and hard focused, depth measurements that can resolve the true formation resistivity (Rt) in thin-bed and deeply invaded formations. Wireline array laterolog tool uses 25 array electrodes that operate at multiple frequencies. Hard and software focusing of the received signals generates six resistivity logs with different depths of investigation from mud resistivity to different Rt, and enhanced thin-bed analysis that is up to 0.3~0.4m. The HAL logs describe thin-bedding and invasion features quantitatively, Rt measurements free of Groningen effects, Rt inversion and oil saturation calculation of the formation.
