The hydraulic external cutter type WD-S is an external pipe-cutting tool, whose knives are hydraulically actuated by circulating drilling fluid. It is usually connected with the washover pipe and can cut the fish at its any section. Compared with the mechanically-actuated one, the hydraulic external cutter type WD-S allows for fast recovery of tubing or drill pipe.
