ZTE Switch ZXR10 2850 Series L2 Access Ethernet Switches

Overview

ZTE ZXR10 2800 series access switches are mature L2 switches featuring high-density fast Ethernet access interfaces, abundant functionalities, and high performance. It can provide users with economical broadband access service.

Four models are available in the 2800 series: 2818S, 2826S, 2852S and 2826A-PS, providing 16, 24, 48 and 24 access interfaces respectively. Among these four models, 2826A-PS supports POE, providing economical and efficient POE access service for the user. 

Advanced Features

Cost-effective/Easy application

With 1RU height, compact hardware structure and fan-less design, ZXR10 2800 can be installed into the 19-inch standard rack or placed on desktop near the end user. It provides fixed interfaces and modular interfaces, and supports both AC and DC power supply.

Complete QoS support

ZXR10 2800 supports traffic policing, scheduling based on its in-built 4 hardware queues. 

The traffic policing can be implemented at the ingress port or egress port with a minimal granularity of 64Kbps for unicast, multicast, and broadcast traffic. 

Traffic scheduling mechanisms including SP and WRR are supported.

Multi-service Support

ZXR10 2800 supports multiple kinds of VLAN technologies, including PVLAN and QinQ. QinQ helps operator better leverage limited VLAN resources and distinguish user and service effectively to apply different strategies later. 

PVLAN can be implemented to separate users for better security. 

For multicast based services, ZXR10 2800 supports IGMP snooping, proxy and IGMP fast leave, administratively scoped multicast.

Full management patterns

ZXR10 2800 series supports graphical network management, SNMP, CLI (command line), Telnet, SSH, Local and Remote authentication of User. All performance data, fault management data can be uploaded to the OAM center for future analysis. 

With ingress and egress traffic mirror capability, the network traffic can be better monitored. User can filter the traffic to get their interested information by specifying the source/destination MAC address of the traffic.

Enhanced Security

ZXR10 2800 series supports MAC-Limit, which means the number of hosts connecting to one access port can be limited 

MAC address/interface binding can be implemented once the network is stable to prevent MAC-spoofing attack. MAC address filtering can be implemented to block illegal access. 

Broadcast and multicast suppression helps reduce network storm.

Power Over Ethernet

ZXR10 2826A-PS switch supports IEEE802.3af. Its POE port output voltage range is DC44V~DC57V. The maximum current output of a single interface is 350mA, while the maximal power output is 15.4 W. 2826A-PS is able to provide power supply for 24 devices like IP telephones, wireless access points or video cameras at the same time.

VCT for Efficient Maintenance

VCT is the short term for "Virtual Cable Testing". VCT adopts TDR (time domain reflectometry) to check the quality status of cable, connector and terminator. Situations such as open circuit, short circuit, non-matched impedance and cable, broken-down connector, non-matched terminator and poor electromagnetic quality can be detected. Application of this technology brings great convenience to maintenance of Ethernet switch. ZXR10 2800 series supports bi-directional loopback detection, which means line detection can be done together with the peer end to diagnose whether data packets sending and receiving at Ethernet port is normal. VCT is a very efficient tool to minimize the time needed to do trouble-shooting.
