Here are some specifications about pepper:

Pepper is the fruit of the black pepper plant from the Piperaceae family. It is dried and used since antiquity for both its flavor and as a traditional medicine. Besides, it is one of the most common spices added to European cuisine. The chemical piperine, which is present in black pepper, causes the spiciness. When dried, this plant-derived spice is referred to as a pepper, and is then ground into a powder to be put on food to add flavor and spice.

Because of its antibacterial properties, pepper is also used to preserve food. It is a rich source of manganese, iron, potassium, vitamin-C, vitamin K, and dietary fiber. Black pepper is also a very good anti-inflammatory agent.

Black peppercorns are made by picking the pepper berries when they are half ripe and just about to turn red. They are then left to dry which causes them to shrivel and become dark in color.

Alternatively, green peppercorns are picked while still unripe and green in color, while white peppercorns are picked when very ripe and subsequently soaked in brine to remove their dark outer shell leaving just the white pepper seed.

Our production process:

Black pepper is dried under the sunshine on canvas to keep hygiene and avoid mixing sands and rocks.

Black pepper is selected carefully so as to reject rotten fruits.

The health benefits of black pepper include relief from respiratory disorders, coughs, the common cold, constipation, indigestion, anemia, impotency, muscular strains, dental disease, pyorrhea, diarrhea, and heart disease.

Our packing:

Pepper is dried and packaged in jute bag before selling.
