Grade AISI 405 / UNS S40500 / W.-Nr. 1.4002 ( DIN X7CrAl13 ) Ferritic stainless steel plates
UNS S40500 / AISI 405 is a 12% Cr steel, designed to be used in the as welded condition.
Unlike other grades in the 12% Cr category, 405 is not susceptible to extensive hardening through air cooling
from high temperatures.
