Joint Bearing & Rod Ends Bearings are primarily intended for radial loads acting in the direction of the shank axis. If, in addition to the radial load, an axial load resulting from angular misalignment or additional axial forces acts on the rod end, the equivalent dynamic bearing load should be calculated in the same way as for radial spherical plain bearings.
