• Scope: Check the hipot tester

• Operation steps:

1. Check the hipot tester each time prior to start work everyday morning and do some relevant records.

2. The high pressure resistance is 2.0kV/1mA

2.1 High voltage check

2.1.1 Connect the HV inspect box to the hipot tester 

2.1.2. Turn on the power switch. Set the output voltage as 2000V, the leakage current high-limit as 1.1mA, lower-limit current as 0.9mA,set the test time should be less than 10s.

2.1.3. Start to test, if the tester do not alarm, the tester is good. If the test is failed, please trace back the measuredproduct. The details are as following list:

1.  If the wrong running check is appeared, please trace back the last product that has been detected, and after the calibration to the hipot tester, re-test the product, and record the test results in the inspection list.
2. After calibration, if the re-test results meet the requirements, then proceed to do the next step.
3. During the high voltage running inspection process, when the tester is alarming, but there is no beeper sound or the super leakage indicator (Failed indicator) is not lit, the hipot tester may be damaged. When the hipot tester is broken down, user should stop using the broken hipot tester and stick the label as "suspended" to the tester. Notify the engineering department for maintenance and deliver it to the nationally recognized testing laboratories. Trace back all the components have been tested, and use the qualified hipot tester to do the dielectric strength and the insulation test again. 

• Precautions:

1.The operator should wear insulated leather gloves and stand on the insulated leather to prevent electric shock.

2. The tester must be grounded well

3. User must ensure that the high-voltage output "0" and at the "stop" state before connect the DUT.

4. The tester ground and the DUT ground should be reliably connected. Open-circuit is rejected.

5. The ground of the output should not be short circuit with the AC power.

6. Avoid the short circuit between the high voltage output terminal and the ground.

7. Once the test light, ultra leakage light is damaged, it must be replaced immediately, to avoid causing a miscarriage of justice;

8. Cut off the power before troubleshooting.
