Applications:
HZ-Ag9B is mainly used in non-ferrous alloys such as copper alloys. It is a useful fillermetal for brazing ferrous metal, where brazing and heat treatment must be completedsimultaneously.
Particular characteristics:
This is a low cost alloy that may be heated to 871°C without thermal effect on the base andaddition material’s. The flow point which is relatively high, combined with its high content ofzinc, tends to cause a rapid alloy with non-ferrous alloys. In the furnace brazing, the heatingcycle should be short to avoid excessive volatilization of zinc.
