As one of the most common aluminum welding materials, ER4047 are often used for soldering and brazing of casting aluminum, 

and extrusion molding of aluminum and aluminum alloys with aluminum welding flux.

Advantage:          

1. low melting temperature.

2.good  fluidity

3. little deformation for parent material

Parent Metals: 

AlMgSi(6000 series) alloys. E.g. 6063,6082 cast alloys of aluminum-silicon type. Not recommended for welding AlMg alloys

Welding Process:MIG or TIG

Anodizing: Poor

Corrosion Resistance: Good but can depend on parent alloy
