Q: Is this battery on par with the original for macbook pro battery. A: I would say if I am using my laptop to full capacity (streaming video, using high brightness levels, running multiple programs etc.), I get roughly over an hour give or take 15 min from 100% to 20%. I would say it's not as good as the new battery when I got it in 2011, but I am satisfied with it's performance overall. Just use energy saver settings and I think you'll find it's a solid replacement battery, in my opinion
