Preparations before use       

 In order to reduce the dust and bacteriological contamination on the injector and its components, it is necessary to wash hands before using it.

  1,  Please check whether the environment where you are going to carry out injection is clean or not before opening up medicine-loading pipe and medicine-sucking connector. If it is too ventilated, it is necessary to control the air motion, such as close the door or window. It is inadvisable to carry out injection in crowed areas or heavily polluted places.

2, Out-of-box check and confirmation, if this is the first time that you open up the packing box of the injector, please check whether all the items within the packing box are complete and intact:

A, Names of totals of all the items in the packing box are listed in the packing list, please check all the items based on the packing list.

B, Please check whether the medicine-loading pipe and medicine- loading connector are damaged or not. If yes, they cannot be used.

C, Please take a look at the effective date stated on the package of medicine-loading pipe and medicine-loading connector. If expired, they cannot be used.

Installation

Take out the injector and remove its end cap

Push the wheel lock towards the blue point so that the red point can be seen, as shown in Fig.5.

Rotate the rotating wheel in the direction of arrow, as shown in Fig.6, make the pushrod come out until the rotating wheel can barely move, and put it in a clean place.

Remove the package of the medicine-loading pipe and take it out, insert the part with thread into the head part of injector and screw up, as shown in Fig.7.

Before the medicine-loading pipe is inserted, the pushrod of injector must be inserted into the piston within the medicine-loading pipe first of all, as shown in Fig.8.  When fixing up the medicine-loading pipe, try to prevent anything from being in contact with the head part of the medicine-loading pipe so as to avoid any contamination.

Medicine-loading

Take out the medicine-loading connector, make the needle-free end compress tightly with the medicine-loading pipe, as shown in Fig.9.

Repeat the action shown in Fig.6, and make the piston get close to the top part of the medicine-loading pipe as far as possible, make the needle end of the medicine-loading connector compress tightly with the medicine bottle, as shown in Fig.10.

Rotate the rotating wheel in the direction of arrow, as shown in Fig.11, and make the piston move towards the injection button, read the dose to be loaded on the medicine-loading pipe. The result of reading subjects to the upper edge of piston.

 For example, as is shown in Fig.12, the dose is 40 units.

!  When sucking up the liquid medicine, the medicine bottle must be above the medicine-loading pipe, in order to avoid drawing in air.

After sucking up the medicine, push the wheel lock towards the red point and make the blue point can be seen, as shown in Fig.13, at this time the wheel lock is in the state of locked, and then remove the medicine bottle and medicine-sucking connector from the medicine-loading pipe.

!  In order to eliminate error and avoid the insufficiency of injected dose, it is suggested that the amount of loaded medicine shall exceed the dose to be injected.

If any air bubble is found, as shown in Fig.14.

 It is necessary to put up the medicine-loading pipe and knock it with your palm to make the air bubble run to the top of the medicine-loading pipe, as shown in Fig. 15.

Then, rotate the rotating wheel in the direction of arrow to remove air bubble, as shown in Fig.16.

rotate the lower casing of injector in the direction of arrow until you hear a crack, injection button and safe lock bounce out at the same time, as shown in Fig.18.

!  When you hear the sound, you cannot continue to rotate the injector; otherwise it will lead to the damage of injector.Rotate the lower casing of injector in the direction of arrow and meanwhile watch the number shown in the scale indicator

Until it comes to the dose that you intend to inject, if the number adjusted is greater than the dose that you intend to inject, you can rotate the lower casing of injector in the reverse direction of arrow until it comes back to the dose that you intend to inject.

!  The maximum injected dose of QS-M Type Needle-free Injector is 50 units, if the number adjusted is greater than 50, it will lead to the serious damage of injector.

!   If the dose that you intend to inject is 60 units, it is necessary to inject twice and the dose injected every time shall be no more than 50 units.

When the amount of medicine loaded in the pipe is not much, when adjusting the dose, you may find that sometimes it is hardly to rotate the injector in the processing of rotating its upper and lower casings, this is because that the dose loaded in the pipe is not enough to meet the demand of the dose that you intend to inject. At this time, you have two choices:

A. Inject the existing dose, and then change a new pipe to inject the missing dose.

B. Screw off the pipe and discard it with the remaining medicine, change a new pipe to load the medicine according to the dose that you need, and then inject.

Injection

First of all, determine the injection site, and the injection site of QS-M Type Needle-free Injector is the same as that of the general subcutaneous injection.

After the injection site is determined, clean it with medicinal alcohol swab for sterilization, injection can be carried out after alcohol is volatilized, 

Stretch out the skin on the both sides of the injection site with two fingers of one hand after determination and sterilization, as shown in Fig.21. With the other hand, pick up the injector after the dose has been properly adjusted, then press the head part of the medicine-loading pipe on the injection site.

Make the injector perpendicular to the surface of skin, and then push the injector hard to make the head part of the medicine-loading pipe and skin tightly coupled and keep sealed, Relax the abdominal muscles, press down the safe lock with your forefinger and press down the injection button with your thumb. When you hear a crisp sound, medicine has been injected into your body

After injection, keep the injector remain in place for at least 3 seconds, and then move it away. 

In order to protect the injector and avoid its damage to anyone caused by misoperation, please do not screw off the medicine-loading pipe after injection. And replace the old pipe with a new one before it is used next time.

!  It is required to make the injector perpendicular to the surface of skin in the process of infection, and keep it remain in place on the skin with the original injection pressure for at least 3 seconds after injection.

!  Injection site shall not be the one where injection is carried out last time.
