In 1958, Arne Jacobsen designed the Egg Chair for the lobby and reception areas of the Royal Hotel in central Copenhagen. A special attraction for anyone waning to spend a night at the hotel (today renamed to Radisson SAS Royal Hotel) is to ask for room 606. This is the only room in the hotel that appears with the original Arne Jacobsen furniture as egg chair and other design, exactly as when the hotel opened in July 1960.
