The Corrosion Resistance of ss316 is much better than ss304, it has favorable performance of corrosion resistance in the process of Pulp and paper.Also ss316 have the Resistance to the erosion of marine and Corrosive atmospheric.

Heat resistance
When it intermittent serviced below 871℃(1600°F)) or Continuous used over 927℃ (1700°F),ss316 has good Oxidation resistance. It had better not use ss316 continuously during 427°C-857°C(800°F-1575°F),but the ss316 can have Good heat resistance out of the range.
Carbide resistance of ss316L is better than ss316, can used in the Temperature range which showed above.

Welding
Ss316 has good welding performance, Can use all the standard welding method for welding. We can use 316Cb,316L or 309Cb stainless steel Filler rod or welding rod
to weld apart according to the usage. For obtaining the best corrosion resistance, the 316 stainless steel welded cross section need to be annealed after annealing .But if use ss316 L, there is no need to do so.

Application
Heat exchangers for pulp and paper equipment, Dyeing equipment, Film flushing equipment, the piping, Exterior materials for coastal areas.

In 2013, it is applied to Solenoid valve field, mainly used in Shell, Clamp, Ball, valve, valve seat, nut, valve stem ect.
