Each all-glass solar heat pipe is consists of two layers of borosilicate glass. The outer surface of the inner tube(absorber) is coated with copper,aluminum and stainless steel in an entire environment of nitrogen. The absorption efficiency of the selective coating(SS-AlN/Cu) can reach 0.95.

The closed end of the inner tube is fixed into the outer tube and is supported by a spring holder. The inner tube is sealed together with the outer tube and the gas between the inner tube and the outer tube is evacuated to form a vacuum which works as an insullation to protect heat energy absorbed from losing. The inner tube is closed at both ends with a particular transfer fluid sealed in.

When the inner tube(absorber) absorbs solar energy, the transfer fluid in the inner tube is heated up. The fluid will evaporate very quickly. The vapor rises up quickly to the condenser and gives the heat energy to the water. After losing heat, the vapor condenses and flows back to the bottom of the tube. This circulation will continue as well as the inner tube absorbs energy.

The transfer fluid evaporates at a low temperature,so the heat energy absorbed can be transferred to the water in the tank more quickly.

Since there is no water flow in the tube, freezing or water scale is no problem. All the hot water that are heated up can be used. So there is no hot water lingering in the tube. And more the solar collector will very light and is easy to mounte on the wall.
