1.Type of steel and characteristics:

Hardenable,stainless and corrosion resistant steel.Well hardening with minium distortion,very good resistance to wear and compression.

In the heat treated condition this steel grade allows a very high polish.

2.Applications:

Inserts and smaller moulds for injection and compression of corrosive plastic materials.

3.Compared grades(based on usage)

4.Hert treatment:

Annealing:                Temperature:760-800°C

                          Holdingtime:4-6h;Slow furnace cooling

Hardness after annealing: max.240HB.

Stress relieving:         Temperature:appr650 °C

                          Holding time:1-2h;slow cooling

Hardening:                Temperature :1000-1030 °C                    

                          Quenching:oil.

                         (interrupt quenching at appr.300 °C  )

                          blast for small sections,hot bath at appr.200 °C  (no  

                          nitric salt)

Hardness obtainable:      appr.56HRC

Tempering:                as required

                         (usually 200-250 °C,to obtain a hardness of 53-55HRC).

5.Delivery:

Acc. to your request--standard steel bar (sawing)

                                    --non-standard steel bar (sawing)

or Mill deliver condition ,without sawing or cuting
