The Acer DX is a high-speed, high-precision gantry that delivers the performance and ease-of-use desired by manufacturers, job-shops, and fabricators around the globe.

Precision cutting and accuracy are ensured by a three-axis precision gantry with rack-and-pinion drives; precision linear ways in both the x- and y-axis; a compact, unitized rugged design with welded and precision-machined frame; digital AC drives and AC brushless motors. The gantry features steel construction with machined mating surfaces for stiffness and accuracy; dual side drives; and precision heavy-duty gearboxes for smooth motion and long life. The Acer DX is available with either a 5’x10’ or 6’x12’ working area. The machine includes an integrated downdraft table with multiple zones for efficient fume collection. Optional pull-out slag drawers are available for ease of cleaning.

The Acer DX is a unitized machine featuring an extremely sturdy, all welded frame assembly, precision machined tubular steel beam, and linear rail guides in all axes. Over-sized drives yield the highest possible dynamic accuracy, on an extremely heavy-duty machine.

The beam is machined to the tightest tolerance to achieve high accuracy over the life of the machine, and features a dual linear rail guiding system for the cross-axis carriages. Machined mating surfaces ensure precise alignment of all components, for a stiff gantry that achieves outstanding accuracy and acceleration. The unitized machine is easily installed and leveled. Tables are available in either 5 x 10 or 6 x 12 sizes.

The Acer DX features the latest generation digital AC drive amplifiers with AC brushless motors, precision extra heavy-duty gear boxes, and rack-and-pinion gearing. The gearbox features an over-sized output bearing and output shaft to reduce torsional wind-up and increase torque capacity. Drive racks are mounted directly to the same machined surface as the linear rails, ensuring consistent rack to rail alignment.

The Acer DX achieves positioning accuracy of +/- 0.004", with repeatability of +/- 0.002".
