This is an electro-tester for testing pH and chlorine (Cl₂) levels in water. Chlorine is the most commonly used disinfectant for water by killing bacteria, algae and microorganisms. But high chlorine level can result in eye, nose and skin irritations. So chlorine level should be kept to the minimum required for complete disinfection. pH is another mostly concerned parameter for water quality and safety since both high and low pH levels could be harmful to us.
