PSZ65 Hydraulic Disc Brake Machine for Workover rig
Specification
PS Series Hydraulic Disc Brake machine system is mainly used for drilling rigs, workover rigs and well hoisters.
The machine system consists of three parts: brake actuation mechanism, hydrualic station and operation panel. These three parts are connected through hydraulic pipes. The hydraulic station supply hydraulic power for the system; the control panel controls the hydraulic power, it is make up of service brake assembly, parking brake assembly, emergency brake assembly and all kinds of pressure indicators; The actuation mechanism is a braking actuation unit which consists of braking caliper, caliper frame and friction disc. The braking caliper has two parts, one is normal open service calipers, the other is normal closed safety calipers. Its main function is to brake the drum so that the speed to raise or lower the drilling tools can be adjusted.

Parts Description | Function |
Service Brake | Adjust the pressure which the service caliper press on the friction disc through pulling service brake handle to provide adjustable braking torque to the rig. It can meet the requirements of different working conditions, such as bit feeding ,tripping etc. |
Emergency Brake | Press the Red emergency brake button when emergency occur, then the service calipers and safety calipers will all brake. |
Over-winding Protection | If the service caliper fail to brake because of wrong operation or any other reason when the load is lifted to a certain height, the over winding or colliding prevention valve will send a signal to the emergency valve, then the service calipers and safety calipers will brake at the same time to prevent crown block accident. |
Parking Brake | Pull the parking brake handle down when the drilling rig will stop working or the driller wants to leave, then safety calipers will brake to prevent the hook from sliding. |
Power-off protection | Safety caliper will brake automatically. At the same time, the energy stored in the accumulator will provide brake power to handle emergency situation, service caliper can brake 4-6 times at normal conditions, sometimes 12 times or so. |
