HIGH ACCURACY LEAK DETECTOR FOR DOUBLE LAYER TANK /LEAKAGE DEVICE 

I. Working principle

SYW-E leak detection sensor consists of piezoelectric crystal, oscillating circuit, rectifier circuit and microprocessor etc. Piezoelectric crystal and oscillating circuit generate square wave with a certain frequency, and the square wave frequency is the natural frequency of vibration of piezoelectric crystal, belonging to the physical property of sensor. When oscillator plate of sensor gets in touch with liquid, vibration frequency will change significantly; this frequency change is collected and perceived by microprocessor inside the shell, and the microprocessor and peripheral circuit judge that the contact liquid is oil or water according to the change of frequency, and hereby infer that inner leakage or outer leakage happens to double-compartment tank. This sensor is not disturbed by the liquid structure, turbulence, agitation, vibration and other circumstances, and not limited by the light, with impact resistance, which can adapt to more complex scene environment. In addition, compared with leak detection sensors with other principles, this sensor is featured by stronger anti-interference ability.

II. Range of application

SYW-E leak detection sensor is applicable to leakage test of oil and water of interlayer chamber of double-compartment (wall) oil tank and surface borehole, and can also be used as high liquid level alarm of gas station and oil depot.

III. Performance

1. This sensor is equipped with fault self-checking function, free from artificial fault test;

2. This sensor is equipped with oil-water differentiation function, which can provide basis for judging leakage of inner tank or leakage of outer tank;

3. This sensor is equipped with flange, placed firmly and installed easily;

4. This sensor adopts RS485 communication and reduces wiring cost;

5. This sensor adopts oil resistant and corrosion resistant cable, which is durable in use.

V. Wiring and installation

1. Wiring manner of this sensor is 485 bus-based. For site wiring and installation, please refer to “Attachment I Explanations of Site Wiring and Installation”.

2. Electrical connection: for electrical connection manner, please refer to “Attachment II Schematic Diagram of Electrical Connection Manner”.

This sensor adopts RS485 communication mode, so dial switch addressing is used. For setting model, please refer to “Attachment III Instructions of Dial Switch”.

Blind flange shall be equipped in strict line with “GB/T9123-2010 convex steel pipe blind flange” requirements.
