IMD is shortened form of In Mold Decoration, which a molding process where films, coatings or printing are placed in the mold prior to injection to become a more permanent part of the molded item, and IMD is perfect solution for 3-dimension designed products.

IML is shortened form of In Mold Label, which is mainly used for 2-dimension designed products.

How to make your own IMD?

Send us your sample & drawing of your plastic cover, housing or faceplate

We build a prototype sample for you to check and approve

The 3D shaping mold and the injection mold is made according to your approval.

You approve the sample products.

Any time when you send us the new image design for the IMD, we change the screen printing, and make new faceplate or cover or housing with new image design from the same molds.
