Raspberry pi released in third models -- Model B+. Compared with Model B,B+ uses the same BCM2835 application processor, 512MB of memory, and the same software.

The difference is, B+ made the following improvements:

• more general input and output pins of GPIO:B+ will be increased to 40, while Model B is only 26;

• more USB:B+ provides 4 USB ports, have better compatibility for hot pluggable (Model B 2);

• microSD: the old SD card slot, has been changed into the microSD card slot more beautiful;

Power consumption, lower: the linear regulator into the switch, power consumption is reduced from 0.5W to 1W;

• better audio: audio circuit adopts low power supply noise dedicated;

• simple form: USB interface was pushed to the side of the board, composite video moved to 3.5mm audio port location, in addition to adding a 4 mounting holes independent.
