4.Heat treatment of 4140 alloy steel  

1. Forging:Heat slowly and uniformly to 1000°C. After forging cool slowly.

2. Annealing: 780-800`C slow cooling

3. Annealed Hardness:200-230HB

4.Oil Hardening:840-860    

Tempering:470-560

5. HRC Secondar Hardness:41-52
