1). Center drill types are commonly used to drill holes which provide small diameters. Mostly used to create pilot holes, they are very useful as they can guide the worker to correctly perform the holes he needs. Once the hole is located in the right place, the center drill has to be replaced with a normal drill which provides the right diameter. However, in order to use the center drill, you have to provide the proper lubricant so that the drill’s tip is not going to be twisted off while performing a specific task.

2). The center drill requires a special type of material that is commonly used to fabric the finest tools. Different types of steels ensure the material which is needed to engineer various center drill types. The materials are used to fit different specifications so that the applications can be easily completed. Application of CNC drill bit

·Center drills are used with the lathe to drill a hole in the end of stock for mounting between centers in the lathe.

·They are designed to drill a small diameter pilot hole followed by a 60 degree countersink that provides a bearing surface for the 60 degree point of the lathe center.

·Center drill are also used extensively with the milling machine to accurately start holes.

·The hole locations can be dialed in using the milling machine's calibrated hand wheels, then the hole is started using the center drill.

·The large diameter shank on the center drill holds the drill point right on center, once the hole is started, the center drill is replaced with a drill of the desired diameter and the hole is finished.
