Using buttons

First function: press shortly ( HOLD, , UNIT, )

Second function: press and hold >1s ( , X M, MR, C )

press shortly in hold (“H”) situation (X M, MR )

2.1 HOLD…

HOLD: Press shortly. Hold or free the measurement. In hold situation, “H” is displayed

: Press and hold 1S. LCD backlight illuminates for 3 second(only for SECA-5019BL)

2.2 …X M

: Press shortly. Change measuring between relative and absolute mode. In relative measuring

mode, it will display “ ”

Switch on and reverse LCD figures when power is off

X M: Press and hold 1S. Turn into “H” situation, save the measurement to memory, add 1 to the sequence number, display “H”“M” and sequence number. It can store 8 data. The 9th data will be stored to M8, the old sequence number 2~8 minus 1. The first data M1 will be covered.

Press shortly in “H”situation. Result is same as above

2.3 UNIT…MR

UNIT: Press shortly. Convert unit orderly: cm-ft and inch-inch-decimal inch

MR: Press and hold 1S. Turn into “H” situation, recall the data in memory, display “H” “M” and number

Press shortly in “H”situation. Result is same as above. Press again it will display next stored data,

and add 1 to the sequence number

2.4 …C

: Press shortly. Power switch.

It will Automatically shutoff after 6 minutes inactivity, and automatically power on when pulling blade

C: Press and hold 3S: Set zero for absolute measuring

Press and hold 1S: Clear the displayed data from memory in “H”situation

IMPORTANT

l Don’t retract blade too fast(<1.5m/S) otherwise the measurement may be wrong, even hurt the people

l Blade must be retracted fully when change battery or display “E---0”

l Change battery when display blurredly or display

l Don’t pull out blade fully otherwise the tape may be damaged

l Don’t use buttons when blade moving otherwise the measurement may be wrong

l Keep the blade clearly and dry

l Cleaning sensor: stick a 1.2×2.5cm bi-sided adhesive tape between scale 3-7cm on the blade. Pull the blade forth and back several times, the tape will bring dirt out. Take off the tape after cleaning
