Thanks to its microprocessor, the PCE-FM1000 force meter can quickly and accurately measure traction and compression. The force meter has a large display and a dynamometric casing with a 2 m long connection cable. This cell can be mounted via the clasps including in the delivery, which can be decomposed and removed from both sides of the cell. So this cell can also be tied to other units, for example a test position. The force meter can be powered by batteries or via mains adaptor (300 mA) and through the RS-232 port and optional software, it has a connection to a computer. The transfer speed of the data is at a rate of 4 readings per second. If data should be stored simultaneously on a computer, it needs to use Windows hyper terminal as a data logger.
