   XSU SERIES:Since the mounting holes are provided,cross roller bearing does not require a presser flange or housing.  In addition, because it has an integrated inner/outer ring structure and is equipped with washers, its performance is minimally affected by the mounting  procedure, ensuring stable rotation accuracy and torque. This model can be used for both inner-ring rotation and outer-ring rotation.

   Rotation accuracy:The spacer retainer fitting among XSU series crossed roller bearing cross arrayed rollers prevents rollers from skewing and the rotation torque from increasing due to friction between rollers. Unlike conventional types using steel sheet retainers, the Crossed Roller bearing does not cause displacement or locking of rollers and provides a stable rotation torque. The bearing clearance can be adjusted. In addition, highly accurate rotary motion is ensured through adjusting the bearing clearance to provide a preload.

E. Installation & Cautions

1.Inspect the parts before installing:Clean bearing bracket,main axle or other parts to remove dirt or grease.

2.Place the bearing into the bearing bracket and main axle:To match the design clearance ,keep the bearing horizontal and insert the bearing into the bearing bracket or axle.If it is hard to install,use a rubber hammer to slightly hit every part of the bearing,so that the bearing can be attention to the hitting force is too large.Afterwards,the matching status of bearing and basic face can be examined by checking the noise.For a interference fit,use heating or cooling to expand or shrink the parts for ease of installation. Be sure the bearing temperature does not exceed 80℃ . If the split inner or outer ring is Separates, please loosen the blots slightly and rotate the monolithic ring to adjust the part of split ring, so that the bearing can be fit in the bracket.

3.Install the mounting disc:Place the mounting disc onto the bearing and align the screw holes, Screw all the bolts in the holes first and follow the orders show in below diagram when tightening bolts in diagonally opposite sequence,Do not tighten bolts randomly.

Cautions:

1.The normal operating temperature of Crossed roller bearing is 10-80℃, If it is over this range,please contact BYC.

2.If a foreign substance enters inside the bearing structure, the rotation route of the roller may be damage, or the bearing may fail.Please clean the bearing by refill the lubricant grease.

3.Please do not remove or apply force to the bolt and nut of the split bearing.

Example of installation:

1.Thoroughly clean the housing and other parts to be installed, and check to determine if deburring is required.

2.Since the Crossed Roller bearing is a tiny section bearing type and therefore tends to misalign when it is installed, in case of this situation,gradually drive the product into the housing or onto the shaft by gently hitting it with a plastic hammer, while keeping the product horizontal. Taking care, continue to hammer until it fully contacts the reference surface.

3.Place the presser flange onto the Crossed Roller bearing . Rock the flange several times to match the bolt holes.

4.Insert the presser bolts into the holes.  Manually turn the bolts and make sure they do not display skewing caused by misalignment of the holes.

5. As is shown in the pictures below:Tighten the presser bolts in three to four steps from light to full tightening byrepeatedly securing the bolts in diagonal order.When tightening the separable inner or outer ring, slightly turning the integral outer or inner ring will correct the dislocation between the ring and the body.
