AKD WAX (Alkyl Ketene Dimer)

v  Function

Alkyl Ketene Dimer Original Powder is made after acylation and dehydrochlorination of high-grade fatty acid(C≥12). This product is used as the main material for the production of AKD Neutral Sizing Agent (in the form of emulsion) which is used for the internal sizing of fine papers. Alkyl Ketene Dimer Original Powder is ready for use as internal sizing agent after being melted with heat and emulsified into a stable emulsion in the starch emulsifier and protective agent solution. AKD emulsion produced by Alkyl Ketene Dimer Original Powder is widely applicable to a variety of paper such as cultural paper, paperboard, newsprint, fruit bag paper which is made of wood pulp, reed pulp, waste art paper pulp, and which requires sizing . It’s adaptable in PH (7-9) while  the optimum conditions for the PH is (7.0-8.0). Calcium carbonate can be used as filler, and the product can replace conventional acidic rosin sizing.

Sunlight, rain, rough-handling or impact should be avoided in transportation, and the product should be handled with care. Store in a cool and dry place, the temperature should not exceed 35 ℃. The bag should be padded 10cm above the ground. Avoid moisture and fire.

v  Packing

This product is packed in lined plastic bags with a net weight of 25kg for each or the packaging can be done according to customer requirements.
