WIDAL TEST KIT contains the following Salmonella antigens 
AH, BH, TO, TH, CO, CH, AO, BO,+ve & -ve Control 4x5ml & 8x5ml 

Principle:

When the coloured, smooth, attenuated Typhoid antigen suspensions are mixed / incubated with patient serum, antisalmonella antibodies present in the patient serum react with the antigen suspensions to give agglutination. Agglutination is a positive test result, indicating presence of anti-salmonella antibodies in the patient serum. No agglutination is a negative test result indicating absence of anti-salmonella antibodies.

A titre of 1:80 (Slide) / 1:120 (Tube) or mote is considered significant and a rise in titre after a few days will confirm the diagnosis. Stable, Aqueous, ready-to-use reagents. Accessories & Control provided. Rapid results within 1 minute.

 PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS
1. The positive control antisera should produce 1+ or greater agglutination at 1: 80 in the slide and tube test when tested with the Typhi antigen suspensions.
2. The negative control should show no agglutination with any of the Typhi antigen suspensions.
