2. increased machining capacity in house

3. ease of mould maintenance

4. reduce mould downtime

5. reduce te overall long-term costs.

The main disadvantage concerned wih the use of standard mould components tends to be associated with the following:

1. reliance upon one specific source of supply.

2. failure to supply on time. It's a rare occurrence with most suppliers, but it should be considered the delivery time quoted by supplier and place order on time.

3. mistakes in part ordering caused longer mould downtime.
